چکیده
Figure 2 – Reformatted images showing the main coronary arteries of two subjects. Subject 1: 2D Affine + translational motion correction gives superior image quality compared to both 2D translational correction and a gated scan (with ~3x reduction in scan time). Subject 2: 2D motion correction gives similar image quality to the gated scan with ~2x reduction in scan time. Affine correction shows small improvements over 2D translation only. 1824 3D Coronary MRA with 2D beat-to-beat translational and bin-to-bin affine respiratory motion correction using a golden radial image navigator Andrew Peter Aitken, Markus Henningsson, Tobias Schaeffter, and Claudia Prieto Division of Imaging Sciences and Biomedical Engineering, King's College London, London, London, United Kingdom

100% Efficient three-dimensional coronary MR angiography with two-dimensional beat-to-beat translational and bin-to-bin affine motion correction.
PURPOSE To develop a flexible image navigator for 3D coronary MR angiography that allows respiratory motion of variable complexity to be compensated for on different temporal scales. METHODS A two-dimensional (2D) golden radial image navigator is proposed; translational motion is compensated for on a beat-to-beat basis, and residual affine motion is compensated for on a bin-to-bin basis in a ...

PURPOSE To develop an accelerated and nonrigid motion-compensated technique for efficient isotropic 3D whole-heart coronary magnetic resonance angiography (CMRA) with Cartesian acquisition. METHODS Highly efficient whole-heart 3D CMRA was achieved by combining image reconstruction from undersampled data using compressed sensing (CS) with a nonrigid motion compensation framework. Undersampled ...
متن کاملHighly efficient nonrigid motion‐corrected 3D whole‐heart coronary vessel wall imaging
PURPOSE To develop a respiratory motion correction framework to accelerate free-breathing three-dimensional (3D) whole-heart coronary lumen and coronary vessel wall MRI. METHODS We developed a 3D flow-independent approach for vessel wall imaging based on the subtraction of data with and without T2-preparation prepulses acquired interleaved with image navigators. The proposed method corrects b...
متن کاملECG/Navigator-Free 4D Whole-Heart Coronary MRA with Simultaneous Visualization of Cardiac Function and Anatomy
Purpose: Cardiac and respiratory motion artifacts are major challenges in cardiac MRI, and are conventionally suppressed by prospective ECG and diaphragm navigator gating, respectively. However, these approaches require time-consuming setup and prolonged acquisition times, and are susceptible to variations of heart rate or respiratory pattern. Further, they can become unreliable at higher field...
متن کاملHigh resolution 3D spiral coronary vessel wall imaging with >99% respiratory efficiency using beat to beat respiratory motion correction: quantitative comparison with navigator gated 2D spiral and turbo spin echo imaging
Introduction: Dark blood coronary artery wall imaging has demonstrated the ability to detect vessel wall thickening in subjects with non-significant coronary heart disease [1]. For high resolution imaging, studies are generally performed with diaphragmatic navigator gating which has an inherently low respiratory efficiency (RE) and is further compromised by respiratory drift through the long ac...
